A reader is seeking nice ways to encourage their customers to pay for the work they’ve had done
Every week a Guardian Money reader submits a question, and it’s up to you to help him or her out – a selection of the best answers will appear in next Saturday’s paper.
This week’s question
I’m a freelance artist struggling to make long-term clients pay for the work I’ve done. It’s getting bad and I’m now paying bank charges as a result. If I threaten them legally I’m worried I’ll lose the work. Has anyone a foolproof strategy to – nicely – get people to pay up?
