NEW YORK (Reuters) – China’s biggest creator of car components claimed an auction for A123 Systems Inc , a bankrupt machine of batteries for electrical vehicles which was funded partly with U.S. government cash, A123 confirmed inside a statement Sunday. Wanxiang Group Corp’s call of $ 256.6 million topped a joint call from Johnson Controls Inc of Milwaukee plus Japan’s NEC Corp for the creator of lithium-ion batteries. The sale didn’t include A123′s Michigan-based government company which functions with all the U.S. Defense Department, that was rather available to Navitas Systems for $ 2.25 million, A123 mentioned. …
